Today, I encourage you to pause and consider what it looks like to trust God versus what it looks like to try to do life on your own.
As you begin, take a few moments to sit quietly before God. Set aside any distractions, close your eyes, and take a few slow, deep breaths. With each exhalation, give him your worries and concerns and let his peace wash over you.
Next, take some time to read the verses below and explore the questions that follow.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
John 10:10
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
What do you learn about God and Jesus in these verses? What do you think God may be trying to teach you about his purpose for you?
Finally, consider recording your responses in a journal, whether digital or hardcopy. It's a great way to be able to look back on the adventure God has you on.
Prayer:
Jesus, I praise you for your love and sacrifice. It is such encouragement to know that you came to give me purpose. Even when life is challenging, I can rest in knowing I am your masterpiece and you have a plan for me. Help me to bring glory to you each day, so that others may see you in my life and want to know you more. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Romans 1:20
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
