Today, you’re invited to pause and consider how God is inviting you to apply the weekend message in the week to come.
To begin, take a few moments to sit quietly before God, giving him your worries and concerns and letting his peace wash over you.
Next, take some time to read the following verse and explore the questions that follow. You can do this on your own or with others.
Read Colossians 3:12-15
12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
What do you learn about relationships and maturing in Christ through these verses?
Where God is calling you to mature through your relationships? What is one you can do this week to share Christ through your relationships?
Finally, consider recording your responses in a journal whether digital or hardcopy. It's a great way to be able to look back on the adventure God has you on.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for this day. Father, you created us for community and these relationships help us mature and grow. Help me to be a light and share your love with those around me in the week to come. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Colossians 1:23
But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.
