Throughout this past week, we have explored how words are powerful. They have the chance to be helpful and healthful, or harmful. Words can spread positivity or bring hurt and harm. Words matter to God, and ultimately, we have a choice in the words we use.
Today, I invite you to carve out a few quiet moments to reread the verses that really spoke to you this week. Some possibilities may come from last weekend’s message, such as Proverbs 18:21, Matthew 12:36, or Ephesians 4:29. Then look back on the notes you captured from last Sunday and reflect on the actions you took this week.
Prayer:
Lord, help me choose my words today so they glorify you and bring help and life. Help me offer positive interactions when communicating with others that bring you glory in all I say. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Proverbs 18:21
“The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.”
