This past week, we talked about what it means to be a friend—someone who knows you and whom you know. Good friendships take investment, but the payoff is worth it. Good friends bring positivity and support in times of need, as well as challenging us to help us grow
This week, take time to review the verses that stood out to you, such as Ecclesiastes 4:9-11 or John 15:13-15, and consider what true friendship looks like. Then reflect on how you can bless others with the gift of friendship. Look back on any notes you may have captured over the past few days and jot down any actions you took this week.
Where is God inviting you to grow?
Where do you deliberately need to invest more intentionality with your friendships?
Prayer:
Father, thank you for the gift of friendship. You knew it was not good for us to be alone. This week, help me to be a good friend to others and help me nurture the relationships you have given me to enrich my life. Let all my conversations be seasoned with love, and help me reflect you in all I do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Proverbs 17:17 ESV
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
