Over the past week, we’ve been exploring how to love our actual neighbor by getting to know their name, their needs, and how they can take a next step. Today, I encourage you to carve out a few quiet moments and look back on the notes you captured Sunday reflecting on how God grew you.
Reread the verses that really spoke to you throughout the week. Some possibilities may include 2 Corinthians 5:20, Mark 2:14-17, 1 Corinthians 9:22-23, and 1 John 4:10-12.
You may consider making additional notes as you explore the following questions:
What steps did you take to be an ambassador for Christ and love your neighbor as Christ loves you this week?
What did you notice about yourself as you intentionally made the most of these opportunities? What is one thing that went well? Was anything challenging or difficult?
How can you continue to love and share God’s love with those whom he has placed in your life?
Prayer: Day 20 - To Fill My Life With The Fruit Of Your Spirit (Luke 6:43-45)
Heavenly Father, help me to be firmly rooted in you, so that I can bear the good fruit that comes from you. I know that only by the power of the Holy Spirit can I have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in my life (Galatians 5:22-23). I desire to have a close relationship with you that will produce good fruit in me and through me for the good of others. I want to do all this for your honor and your kingdom. Amen.
Series Theme Verse:
1 John 4:10-11
10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
