Weekend Series: The End

DreamTeam Writer: Kelly Pagel

Sunday, August 11, 2024

Do you live as though what you do matters? This week, we continue our series, The End, where we have been exploring what Jesus has to say about these and other questions.

As Christ followers, we will be with Jesus for eternity.

Matthew 25:34
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.’”

When we are confident of what our future holds, it impacts how we live today. Knowing Jesus affects our perspective and purpose, and it impacts how we treat others.

This week, spend time considering how what you do today echoes for eternity. Set aside any distractions, close your eyes, take a few slow, deep breaths. Are you allowing the promise of Jesus to impact your faith and how you share this hope with others? This will ultimately cause ripples into eternity as those you interact with come to know Jesus, too. Consider recording your responses in a journal, whether digital or hard copy. It's a great way to be able to look back on the adventure God has you on.

Prayer:
Lord, when we put our faith in Christ, you promise that our eternity is secure with you. Help me to live confidently in this truth, and from it, sharing your love with others so they too may come to know you. Lord, help me live with joy and peace today and leave behind a legacy of faith. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Series Theme Verse:
Hebrews 3:14
For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.
