As followers of Jesus, we are called to live each day with intentionality, recognizing the profound impact our actions have not only on our lives but on eternity. In Matthew 25:29, Jesus teaches, “To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.” This verse is a powerful reminder that our faithfulness in using the gifts and opportunities God has given us is crucial in our journey of faith.
When we know Jesus, our lives are transformed. We no longer aimlessly wander, uncertain of our purpose or fearful of the future. We are empowered to live with purpose, fully aware of the unique gifts we have received through our relationship with Christ. These gifts are given to us so that we might serve others, glorify God, and make a lasting impact in the world.
Living purposefully means showing up every day to make a difference. It means being ready to use the talents, resources, and opportunities God has entrusted to us. When we understand that God knows us intimately and has equipped us with everything we need, our perspective changes. Fear no longer dictates our decisions; instead, faith propels us forward.
The outside world and the stories we tell ourselves may try to convince us that our actions are insignificant or that our gifts are too small to matter. But when we look at life through the lens of eternity, we realize that every act of faithfulness, no matter how small, echoes into eternity. Our faith today has a ripple effect that reaches far beyond what we can see.
Take time today to reflect on the gifts God has given you. How can you use them to serve others and glorify him? Remember, it’s not about the size of the gift but the faithfulness in using it. Your faith today echoes in eternity, and every step you take in obedience to God’s calling leaves a lasting impact.
As you go about your day, let your actions reflect your knowledge of Jesus. Show up on purpose, ready to make a difference, and trust that God will multiply your efforts for his glory. Your life has eternal significance when you live in faith on purpose.
Questions:
What specific gifts or talents has God entrusted to you, and how can you use them today to serve others and glorify him?
In what areas of your life are you allowing fear to hold you back from living purposefully? How can you trust God more to step out in faith?
Next Steps:
This week, identify one specific way to use your God-given gifts to serve someone in your community, workplace, or home. Whether offering encouragement, using your talents to help someone in need, or simply being present for a friend, take intentional action. Write down how you feel God is calling you to serve and reflect on the impact of this step. Then, come back next week as we explore how to deepen our understanding of living purposefully in Christ and continue to grow in our faith journey together.

21 Days of Prayer - Day 3
Focus: For Our Nation (Acts 1:8)
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you with a grateful heart for your love and grace. I pray for the life-giving message of Jesus to spread throughout our nation, and for the power of your Holy Spirit to convict and transform hearts. I pray in each community, people would turn to you for direction and answers, and seek your will and wisdom in every situation. May they know you as their Lord, savior, healer, and provider, and experience your love, peace and joy in their lives. I ask this in the name of Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again to give us hope. Amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Hebrews 3:14
For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.
