Ecclesiastes 6:9
Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless - like chasing the wind.

When more becomes our goal - more success, more stuff, more approval - it never feels like enough. That desire can quietly consume us, becoming an albatross around our necks, weighing us down with restlessness and comparison.

But Jesus offers us a different story. He reminds us that life isn't about how much we have, it's about what we do with what we've been given.

Our time, talent, and resources are not really ours. These gifts have all been entrusted to us by God. So as we stop trying to own everything and start stewarding what's been given to us, it changes how we live.

The beauty comes when we find freedom in letting go of this ownership and start trusting the story God is writing through our lives.

Let's live from that story this week - not for more - but for what matters most.

Discussion Questions:

Ice Breaker: What's something small you were entrusted with (a task, opportunity, or responsibility) that taught you something significant?

In your workplace, family, or at church, where do you see people using their gifts well? How does that kind of stewardship impact others?

Read Matthew 25:14-29. Focusing on verse 29, what does "use well what they are given" look like in your current season of life? How do you think God defines success or faithfulness in how you use what he's given you?

Where are you currently investing most of your energy and resources? Are those things leaving an eternal impact—or just a temporary one?

Reflect and respond: What is one gift, skill, or resource that you sometimes overlook or take for granted? How might God be inviting you to see it differently?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, you are the giver of every good gift. Help me lay down the burden of wanting “more” that I too often chase. Teach me to steward my time, my talents, and my resources with open hands and a faithful heart. I ask and pray this in Jesus’ name, amen.

Series Theme Verse:
John 8:31-32

Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
