Introduction to Jonah

Bible Project Overview 

Satirical Narrative - the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize our reality

Structured like a two season show

Season 1 - Jonah, the pagans, and the sea

Season 2 - Jonah, the pagans, and the city

Each Season contains two episodes:

Episode 1: Jonah’s reaction to God’s word and God’s world

Episode 2: Jonah’s reaction to God’s grace

Bottom Line: God will grow us Privately so He can use us Purposefully.

Jonah Chapter 2

Four Truths within the Fish

1. You can’t go where God can’t reach you.

2. God desires correction not condemnation.

3. God rescued you on purpose for a purpose.

4. Your life is best when you trust God first.

Jonah 2:9 But I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise, and I will fulfill all my vows. For my salvation comes from the Lord alone."

"Offer sacrifices" -LOVE

" Fulfill my vows" - SERVE

"salvation comes from the lord" TELL
