Over this past week, we’ve dug into the book of Revelation. Though this book can feel overwhelming, the underlying message is to offer us hope and encouragement as we navigate the challenges before us. Rather than get caught up in the ensuing chaos, we can more effectively use our time here on earth to be a light pointing people to Christ.
Bottom Line: God’s light will help me shine bright.
This week, take time to review Matthew 5:14-16, Revelation 2:1-5, or Revelation 3:15-19. Then reflect on ways you can let your light shine to push back the surrounding darkness. Look back on any notes you may have captured over the past few days, and jot down any actions you took this week.
21 Days of Prayer - Day 20
Focus: Fill My Life with Your Fruit of the Spirit (Luke 6:43-45)
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me be firmly rooted in you, so that I can bear the good fruit that comes from you. I know that only by the power of the Holy Spirit can I have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in my life (Galatians 5:22-23). I desire to have a close relationship with you that will produce good fruit in me and through me for the good of others. I want to do all this for your honor and your kingdom. Amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Hebrews 3:14
For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.
