Throughout this past week, we have had an opportunity to read a variety of devotions reminding us of peace that Christ offers us.
During this week, I pray you’ve had the opportunity to capture some time to be still in God’s presence and reflect on the peace he offers. Although Christmas proper has passed, we can celebrate the gift of Christ and what his birth means for our weary world everyday.
Today, I invite you to carve out a few quiet moments to reread the verses that really spoke to you this week. Some possibilities may come from last weekend’s message such as Matthew 2-11 or from one of this week’s devotions such as Psalm 46:10 or Psalm 62:5. Then look back on the notes you captured from last Sunday and reflect on the actions you took this week.
You may consider making additional notes as you explore the following:
How can you continue to stop, look up, and believe in the year ahead?
What have you learned about God this week?
How will you continue to connect with God as we head into the new year?
Prayer:
Father, I praise you for your Son. Don’t let me lose sight of the precious gift you sent the world. It's so easy to get busy, but this year, let me regularly stop, look up and believe, keeping the message of Christmas near in the days and weeks to come. Amen.
