This past week we had the opportunity to consider the significance rivers have in the Bible, as well as, continue reading through the book of Mark.
Today, I invite you to carve out a few quiet moments to reread the verses that really spoke to you this week. Some possibilities may come from last weekend’s message, such as 2 Kings 5:1-12 or John 7:37-38. Or perhaps there was a verse or verses from Mark 5-8. Look back on any notes you may have captured over the past few days and reflect on the actions you took this week.
What was something significant you learned about God this week? Where do you need to experience forgiveness and seek the refreshment and renewal that only Christ can offer?
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for this week. So often I seek renewal outside of you. Today, help me seek you first for refreshment so I may be life-giving and demonstrate your love to those around me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Romans 1:20
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
