Group Day and Time

Share your servant’s heart by visiting a retired man or woman who receives few to no visitors at Aviva Assisted Living. You’ll be the hands and feet of Jesus, brightening others' day, and will leave with joy in your heart after hearing a story about the resident’s baptism or the history of those Navy ships on the wall. While this group is set to meet Mondays from 3:30-4:30, you can choose a day/time that works for you and the resident. The group leader will guide you through the process and help you get established. This is the perfect opportunity if you need flexibility, but also want to be part of a group! The group will connect periodically via text or at church to pray for the residents and be refreshed by Scripture. Children are welcome if they would be a blessing to the resident's experience.

What we need is biblical wisdom, and even more than that we need hearts set on the One who governs all our practicalities. The book of Proverbs unlocks the key to both, helping us to face very real challenges such as: handling our freedom, independence, and material resources wisely keeping ourselves sexually pure practicing biblical femininity in a world that scorns us for it sustaining God-glorifying marriages elevating biblical priorities ahead of day-to-day pressures Exploring the timeless counsel in the book of Proverbs, A Woman’s Wisdom teaches us to know the very Author of wisdom and to apply his relevant, how-to riches. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? It simply means you would like to hear about opportunities as they arise and consider helping when you are available. Surround yourself with other men who are seeking recovery from hurts, hang-ups and habits that have gotten their lives off-track. This is a Bible-based recovery group that emphasizes honesty and a willingness to change through the transformative power of the cross - Jesus Christ's example and teachings, in the power of the Holy Spirit. The full, Christ-centered version of Reinhold Niebuhr's Serenity Prayer is cited in each meeting to help set the tone and direction of our discussions. Anonymity and confidentiality will be maintained to provide a safe place to help work out your own recovery program.

This six-week introductory group explores how parables are designed to reveal the realities of God’s Kingdom and bring the perspective of Heaven into everyday life on Earth. Together, we will examine how Jesus used parables to challenge assumptions, communicate truth, and invite transformation—living out the prayer, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Through discussion and reflection, we will learn how to recognize deeper meaning in stories, apply Kingdom principles to our daily lives, and grow in our ability to communicate truth to others. This group is especially valuable for those who have a heart to share their faith and actively “seek and save the lost,” equipping participants to connect with others through meaningful, relatable storytelling.

We will be discussing shared stories of trial, pain and success in recovery and how leaning into your faith can change everything. Does your life sometimes feel like a pile of broken pieces? Whether it’s from addiction, trauma, sickness, or a loved one who may struggle with these things. If you feel broken or surrounded by brokenness, this group is for you. Your shattered pieces don’t have to stay that way. Jesus is waiting to take away what we are “ashamed” of and what makes us feel broken. He has the power to take anything and use it for good. Accept his invitation, say YES with me this semester and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us. We will meet at Cedar Creek on Thursdays from 7-8 pm

We've all had the experience of putting something together only to have to take it apart and start over. That's ok if it's a gas grill, but it's not okay if it's your life. You lost your job. You've flunked out of school. Your marriage has ended. These can be start overs that are completely your fault. These can be start overs that are completely other people's fault. There are no restrictions on what your "start over" is about... you just know that you want next time to be better than last time... and so do we! This group will meet every Wednesday 630-830pm and will be using the Andy Stanley "Starting over" content.

Each week, we'll read a section of "Cold-Case Christianity" by homicide detective J. Warner Wallace. Then, we'll get together to discuss the evidence he collected when he investigated the life of Jesus Christ like he does the victim of a cold-case homicide. Open to men and women 18 years old and up. Please purchase a copy (book or ebook format recommended) of “Cold-Case Christianity Updated and Expanded Edition” by J. Warner Wallace before the first book discussion on June 17th. The Dugout Disciples is a group supporting a co-ed adult challenger baseball league; the Northwest Ohio Challenger League. Our players are children (5+)& adults(18+) with different abilities...some use wheelchairs, some do not- but every player brings heart, determination, and joy to the game. We're looking for volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to come alongside our athletes both on and off the field. Volunteers can help in the dugout, assist players during games, cheer from the bleachers, build friendships, and simply help create an encouraging and uplifting environment for everyone involved. No baseball experience is required just a willingness to serve, support, and love people well.

Moms give 110%—all day, every day, all year long. And let’s be real: putting ourselves first? That’s often at the bottom of the to-do list (right after "laundry mountain" and "find lost sippy cup"). As a mom of two little ones, I get how hard it can be to carve out time for yourself. That’s why I’m inviting YOU—whether you’re a brand new mama, a seasoned pro with grown kids, or counting down the days 'til baby arrives—to join me for a little weekly reset. Just a small slice of time to breathe, laugh, and fill your cup. Come as you are—messy bun, yoga pants, and all. Let’s build community, share the highs, the lows, and all the in-betweens of this wild, beautiful ride called motherhood.
